Biden Gets Funnier Every Day

Stand up!!

I’ve heard this clip over and over and it never ceases to make me laugh.  It was only this morning that I saw the video of it and almost fell out of my chair, no pun intended.

Yes, I know it’s old news but I never get tired of this one.

God Fires a Warning Shot Across Carter's Front Yard

Here in Georgia, we're being hit by the residual effects of Tropical Depression Fay.  On insurance forms and school handbooks, this type of event is referred to as "an act of God."  Well, God left a message for former president Jimmy Carter:

A family member says an oak tree struck the Plains home of former President Jimmy Carter as Tropical Storm Fay moved through southwest Georgia.

One of the former president’s sons, Jeff Carter, says the tree struck the house Saturday night just above the living room. He says both his father and his mother, Rosalynn Carter, were at home at the time but neither was hurt.

Clearly, this attempted assassination by God was initiated by Dick Cheney and his croneys at Haliburton as well as G. H. W. Bush's old friends at the CIA.  Where was the secret service when this happened?  Why did they do nothing to stop this storm?  Obviously, they were called off by Bush himself.  That evil man!  Certainly, it was only The Anointing received by The Obamessiah that protected Carter in his time of need.  Is there nothing that Barry can't do?

The former one-term governor and one-term president will be speaking tonight at the democratic National Convention in Denver entitled, "I am a senile, bitter anti-semite and so can you."

Ex-president Carter, don't you think you need to talk to God face-to-face and work this out? I'm just saying...

democrats have a patriotism image problem?

Oh, they'll never admit it, but they do.  Michelle Malkin took some pictures in the convention hall and to be honest, it looks like a flag factory exploded.  Go over to look at the pictures.  Michelle's going to have some great coverage, I'm sure.

The centerpiece is this behemoth, Hollyweird-esque podium display with a bank of 8,000 square feet of video screens and three huge, high-def plasma TV screens. It’s all about the image. Just like the Dem presidential candidate:

One last tidbit:

Every person inside the Pepsi Center has to have a badge with a bar code. You scan it to get in and out.

One of the few instances where the Dems believe in, and practice, tough border enforcement.

Clinton Gets Roll Call Vote After All

Still grasping at straws, Hillary Clinton will get an old-style roll call vote at the Democrat convention.  I suspect that the prime reason for this is to take some of the shine (or rather, Shinola) off of Obama and remind people that he's not royalty and that plenty of people still don't want him as the nominee, a number which appears to be growing.

Democrats say Hillary Rodham Clinton's name will be placed in nomination at the convention in Denver with a roll call for the vanquished rival of nominee-in-waiting Barack Obama.

The party will officially nominate Obama at the convention. But Democrats familiar with the discussions say the former rivals made a joint decision to place Clinton's name in nomination and do a traditional role call of the state delegations.

What I find to be terribly ironic is that for all ranting about McCain, Hillary is becoming to Obama what McCain was to Bush, and that is the annoying senator who bucks the administration because of a personal grudge.  If Obama gets coronated elected,  that's exactly what she will become.  Regardless, it will be even more interesting to see if Hillary tries for senate leadership next January.

Obama fascist thug documents on display

I've been meaning to comment on this since it came out yesterday, but I've been swamped with another blog software upgrade.  I'll just summarize shortly by pointing out how similar the democrat idea of targeting the donors who support McCain for intimidation purposes is to the Scientology practice of "dead agenting" whereby you do everything you can to discredit and destroy a person's reputation in order to get them to shut up.

Michelle Malkin has the documents that they are sending out and they're well worth perusal.

As noted by See-Dubya last night, the oh-so-tolerant leftists have launched a campaign to send “WARNING” letters to potential GOP donors in a thuggish attempt to depress Republican fund-raising. A reader sent me a copy of the actual letter from “Accountable America”–the brainchild of the same MoveOn miscreants who spearheaded the General Betray Us smear.

RINOs for Obama!

 Republican In Name Only (RINO)

Republicans usually demonize Barack Obama in their political advertising, but GOP Sen. Gordon Smith aligns himself with the Democratic presidential candidate in a new ad, citing legislation they worked on to improve fuel efficiency standards.

The ad, responding to an independent Democratic ad linking Smith to high gas prices, credits Obama with saying that "Gordon Smith led the fight for better gas mileage and a cleaner environment."

We shouldn’t be the least surprised by Smith (RINO-OR).  But it gets funny:

Democrats say Obama said nothing of the kind.

When are Republicans going to learn that no matter how much you suck up to Democrats, they will still kick you in the teeth.  This is real!  This is not a fraternity!  No matter how many times you let democrats spank you and you say, “thank you sir, may I have another?” they are still going to screw you in the end!

Remember:  To a democrat, “bipartisan” means “letting the democrat win and still being criticized.”

Cold Cash Jefferson's Sister Pleads Guilty

Only yesterday, Cold Cash Jefferson  announced that he was running for reelection.  And today:

The sister of indicted Democratic Rep. William Jefferson pleaded guilty to concealing a crime on Wednesday, the fourth relative of the Louisiana lawmaker to become entangled in the family's legal troubles.

Oooooops!!!

Federal prosecutors in New Orleans recently charged … three other relatives with conspiring to steal more than $600,000 from organizations they set up to help at-risk and disadvantaged youth.

Remember folks, the democrats just want to think of the children.  Honest.

Brenda Jefferson, also known as Brenda Foster, performed clerical work for the nonprofits run by her relatives.

If your name is ever followed by “also known as…” you might as well start learning how to dig with a spoon because you’re going to jail!

According to prosecutors, she has admitted to receiving $90,000 in payments from the organizations.

$90,000?  Where have I seen that figure before….

Democratic Rep. William Jefferson, who faces bribery charges over $90,000 found in his freezer, said on Tuesday that he plans to seek re-election.

Most Corrupt Democrat Running Again

 money

William “Cold Cash” Jefferson is actually going to run again.

Democratic Rep. William Jefferson, who faces bribery charges over $90,000 found in his freezer, said on Tuesday that he plans to seek re-election.

"I will run for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives this fall," Jefferson, who has pleaded not guilty, said in a statement.

"The fact that I am the target of an overly zealous prosecution has not prevented my delivering for our district and our state," Jefferson said in his statement.

I have a question.  Is it even possible to be overly zealous prosecuting someone with $90,000 in cash in his freezer??

The truly scary part of this story is that he’ll probably be reelected.  The only way he’ll be defeated is if another democrat runs against him.

Meet the Press Host Tim Russert Dead

Though lifelong Democrat, Russert will be missed as one of the few true journalists in the main-stream media in that he understood it was his job to find the news and report it, not to make the news.

WASHINGTON - Tim Russert, NBC News’ Washington bureau chief and the moderator of “Meet the Press,” died Friday after a sudden heart attack at the bureau, NBC News said Friday. He was 58.

Russert was recording voiceovers for Sunday’s “Meet the Press” program when he collapsed, the network said. He and his family had recently returned from Italy, where they celebrated the graduation of Russert’s son, Luke, from Boston College.

No further details were immediately available.

My comment from Michelle Malkin's blog:

He was a life-long Democrat.

I wish all democrat journalists were like him. You could see his bias from time-to-time, but he genuinely worked not to let it show. He was only human, but he was an example of telling the story without being the story or making the story.

Tim Russert was the journalist that America thought Cronkite was and what Rather wishes he could be.

Even gone, he will remain a figurative giant among his peers.

May his widow and son find peace despite their tragic loss.
