Politicians are many things, but if it's one thing that they are not, it's loyal. They will stick by someone only until it begins to hurt them and then they'll run from you faster than a democrat runs from a tax cut.
So why has Obama stuck by Wright for so long? Obama clearly knew that Jerry would be controversial, otherwise he wouldn't have disinvited him from the campaign announcement. Obama distances himself from Wright's words, but never from Wright himself. He uses his deflection techniques to avoid any discussion of Jerry Wright whatsoever and yet he never says anything bad about Wright nor does he state any regrets.
Obama's continued support of Wright is hurting him, there's no question. The more Wright opens his noise-hole, the more white America is reminded that Barry's not the "uniter" he claims to be. Nobody with 20 years of spiritual indoctrination by Wright could be a uniter. It's just not in the program.
There are two things driving Obamakova's tap-dance with Wright.
For starters, Wright brought Obama to power. There's no question about that. It was Wright who allowed Obama to become "fully black" and accepted in black Chicago. It was Wright who steered Barry through the winding road of black politicians, movers, shakers, and king makers. Beyond mere gratitude, if Obama rejects Wright completely, he risks offending the entire leftist, militant black liberation victim-state that is ultra-left-wing black politics. I'm sure he fears that to a certain extent.
I think there's more, much more.
Jeremiah Wright knows things. William Ayers knows things. These men have known Obama literally for decades, especially Wright. There is very little about Obama's history and dealings that Wright not only knows but probably has steered as well.
Remember, Barack Obama is only now becoming investigated and vetted. What's been unearthed has been almost universally, shall we say, unpleasant. How much more do Wright and Ayers know?
Barack Obama is the best chance the black militant movement has had for power not just in decades, but ever. They will support him until the very end. But if Obama rejects them, even in his bid to obtain power on their behalf, they will be betrayed.
There is a saying, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." I would submit that a woman scorned has never seen how racist, power-mad militants can destroy someone if they feel betrayed.
It's very simple and Barack Obama knows it and it's why he's trying to walk the fine line. A couple of phone calls and leaks to the press and Obama's career is over.
There is much, much more to Obama than we know, none of it good. We can only hope that it will be unearthed before it's too late.
